Donna Gregg Magnussen Robinson, 66, of Newell, and formerly of Sioux Rapids, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Funeral services for Donna were held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.

Interment took place at Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake.

Donna was born July 14, 1941, in Cherokee, the daughter of Leslie and Alice (Cave) Gregg. She was raised in the Larabee, Iowa area and received her education in the Larabee schools, graduating from Larabee High School in 1959. Donna continued her education by attending Stewart's School of Hairstyling in Sioux City.

On April 24, 1960, Donna was united in marriage to Paul Magnussen in Cherokee. The couple was blessed with seven children: Dean, Chris, Dawn, Duane, Lisa, Brenda and Kevin. In 1985, Donna married Bernard Robinson.

Donna spent her younger years raising her family and keeping a warm and comfortable home for them. For the past 11 years, she worked as a housekeeper at Pleasantview Nursing Home in Albert City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Delores Nibler; and one brother in infancy, Francis.

Donna is survived by her husband of 22 years, Bernard Robinson of Newell; son, Dean Magnussen and wife, Lois of DuBois, Wyo.; daughter, Chris Hare and husband, Tom of Linn Grove; daughter, Dawn Miller and husband, John of Albert City; son Duane Magnussen and wife, Cindy of Newell; daughter, Lisa Reinert and her husband, Dick of Marcus; daughter, Brenda West and husband, Dean of Peterson; son, Kevin Magnussen and wife, Wendy of Moville; her sister, Darlene Woltman and husband, Loren of Cherokee; 14 grandchildren; step-children: Beth Dorset, Steve Robinson and Dave Robinson; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
