Funeral services for Mrs. Marcella ReMillard, 85, of Gilbert, Ariz., formerly of Spencer and Hartley, will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Congregational Church of Spencer. Rev. Thomas Van Tassell will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery of Hartley.

Marcella passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at home in Gilbert.

Marcella was born on Aug. 17, 1922, in Moneta, being the youngest of ten children to John and Anna Kriens. She attended both Moneta and Hartley schools, graduating from the Hartley High School in 1940. Following high school, Marcella received her beautician's license in Sioux City. She then moved to Los Angeles, Calif., during World War II and was employed at an aircraft factory. She worked as a beautician also in Los Angeles before returning to her hometown of Hartley.

She married Louis ReMillard on Aug. 20, 1951. They raised their four children in Hartley and Spencer. There they owned and operated dry cleaning businesses. In 1975, they moved to Phoenix, Ariz., opening another dry cleaning business, and later a clothing store before retiring.

She is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; and one son, Reggie.

Marcella is survived by her husband, Louie; daughters: Vicki Fitzloff and husband, Frank, Becky Lewis and husband, Chuck, and Marci Matt and husband, Bill; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and sister-in-laws: Orpha Kriens and June Trojahn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
