Lowell Elvin Lindstrom passed away Jan. 6, 2008, surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.
A family prayer service in memory of Lowell was held on Thursday Jan. 10, 2008, with the Rev. Dale Farwell officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date in the family plot at the Laurens Cemetery.
He was born May 1, 1927, to Elvin and Lottie (Muller) Lindstrom in Havelock. After graduation in 1945 Lowell served in the Navy during WW11. Lowell married Roberta Mackie of Laurens, on March 9, 1952. He retired in 1987 as a federal meat inspector. They lived In Laurens, Spencer, Cherokee and 30 years in Sutherland, Iowa before moving to Sun City, Ariz. in 1996. For entertainment in retirement, he worked at Ace Hardware as a locksmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Lottie; sister, Dorothea Bowers; and two infant granddaughters.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Roberta; six children: Michael, of El Mirage, Ariz., Brian and wife, Nanette of Fulton, Mo., Linda Rehder and husband, Mark of Bradenton, Fla., Kent of Phoenix, Ariz., Sheila Christensen and husband, Kevin of Peoria, Ariz., and Kerry and wife, Sandy of Surprise, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and brothers: Lloyd and wife, Patricia, and Kenneth and wife, Sally.
