Funeral services for Mr. Billie Myers, 50, of Everly, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Spencer. Rev. Ed Murray will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., today with family present from 5-7 p.m. at the Warner Funeral Home of Everly.

Catholic Vigil Service will be held at 5 p.m., tonight at the Warner Funeral Home of Everly.

Interment will take place at Lone Tree Cemetery of Everly.

Billie passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Lakes Regional Health Center in Spirit Lake.

Billie Lee Myers, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Strohman) Myers, was born June 30, 1957, in Spencer. He received his education from South Clay High in Gillette Grove. Following his schooling, Billie entered into the U.S. Army and served during Viet Nam.

On Nov. 25, 1978, Billie married Lisa Fischer at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Following their marriage, he worked for Freeburg Construction and then they moved on Lisa's family farm where they have lived and farmed. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Spencer and the American Legion in Everly.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and her husband, Cliff Nissen; his father, Charles Myers; and one brother, Chuck Myers.

Billie is survived by his wife, Lisa of Everly; son, Dustin; daughter, Jessica; his grandson; and brothers and sisters: Jeannie (Myers) Stone, Paulette Wilcox and husband, Terry, Cliff and Brenda Nissen, Todd and Jane Nissen, Allen and Pam Nissen, Terry and Deb Nissen, Arlyn and Tracy Nissen, Erv and Becky Nissen, Gerald and Sharon Nissen, Marilyn and Dave Ruehle, Gloria Allen, Verla and Rich Grisham, Audrey and Steve Day.

Warner Funeral Home of Everly is in charge of arrangements.
