Ambassadors welcome Creative Weddings

The Spencer Chamber Ambassadors helped Helen DeSmit at Creative Weddings celebrate her grand opening and took part in a special ribbon cutting event -- welcoming the new business at 304 Grand Ave. to Spencer. Helen has been working within the wedding supply business for 18 years including, most recently in Sheldon before coming to Spencer and opening her Grand Avenue location. She said that customers from this area came to her operation in Sheldon and told her, "We don't have anything like this in Spencer." Creative Weddings meets all wedding rental needs from supplies to tuxes and dresses. She also does some wedding planning. Originally she started this business out of her home before moving to Sheldon and now Spencer. Helen lives in Sioux County with her husband.
