Funeral services for Stanley Clyde Parr, 79, of Lincoln, Neb., will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Metcalf Funeral Chapel in Lincoln, Neb. Rev. Allen Myers will officiate the service.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time of the service at Metcalf Funeral Home in Lincoln, Neb.

Stanley Clyde Parr, 79, Lincoln, Neb., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2007.

Stanley was born April 23, 1928, and raised on a farm near Webb to Guy Albert and Carrie (Fisher) Parr. Graduated from Webb High School, Webb and attended Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge for one year. Served in the National Guard, Masonic Lodge (Masonic Rites) (Trowel Degree) for 30 years; and was a member of the International Business Men's Association. He married Phyllis Menefee on Feb. 17, 1952, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and later divorced.

He farmed until age 37. Lived in Lincoln, Neb. since 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; daughter, Joanne; and son, John.

Stanley's survivors include sons: Dennis of Wichita, Kansas, Steven of Cedar Rapids, and Donald of Darfur, Minn.
