Lyn and MM1 (SS) Joshua J. Ehlers

Lyn G. Adanza and MM1 (SS) Joshua J. Ehlers were united in marriage Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Amantas Chapel of the Marriott Resort in Tumon, Guam with Rev. Mark Smith officiating.

Parents of the couple are Lydia and the late Eduardo Adanza of Manila, Philippines and Diann Ehlers and the late Gerald (Jerry) Ehlers of Paullina. Grandmother of the bride is Bernada Gonzales from Bicol Camrinesur, Philippines. Grandparents of the groom are William (Bill) Klatt and the late Vernice Klatt of Hartley and John C. Ehlers and the late Lavon Ehlers of Sioux Rapids.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Bautista, friend of the bride and best man was Timothy Kenny, friend of the groom.

The wedding planner was Kathleen Benavente of Tamuning, Guam who did a wonderful job with the Marriott Resort Hotel where the Buffet Dinner Reception was held.

Those in attendance were the groom's mother, Diann, and his sister, Sarah from Paullina; along with other close friends residing in Guam at the time.

Lyn designed her dress of white satin with a pearl beaded hater bodice and a full length skirt that had pearl, bead design throughout the A-line skirt and train. The maid of honor wore a baby blue spaghetti strap full length gown with shawl. The groom and best man were in their Navy Dress Whites and used a baby blue neckerchief to match the bride's color scheme. The bride carried a white rose bouquet with baby blue ribbon streamers. A red rose corsage was worn by the best man and maid of honor carried a red rose surrounded by white roses in a blue and white paper shaped fountain bouquet.

The Marriott Hotel and Chapel are located on the Tumon Bay which is on the Philippine Sea side of Guam; the same bay where one of the main attractions "Two Lovers Point" is and also where the newlyweds reside.

December 2007 Joshua finishes his tour with the USS Houston Submarine so the couple plans to spend time in the Philippines with Lyn's family and friends, then on to LasVegas, MN for a few days of honeymooning; then to Iowa for time with Joshua's family and friends, before leaving to his new tour in Hawaii.
