Clifford "Bud" Spears

Clifford "Bud" Spears, 71, of Russellville, formerly of Storm Lake, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, Ark. Rev. Ed Anderson will officiate the 2 p.m. service. Military honors will be provided by Boyce-Woods Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 3141 of Dardanelle and burial will be in Brearley Cemetery.

Casket bearers will include Keith Spears, Kurt Spears, Andrew Spears, Taylor Cromwell, Don Hargis and Randy Whitis.

Mr. Spears, the son of the late Leonard and Alma (Beck) Spears, was born Jan. 24, 1936, at Storm Lake. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dardanelle.

Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his father and brother, Richard Spears.

He is survived by his mother, Alma Spears, of Spencer; his wife, Joyce Spears, of Russellville; daughters: Kim Spears of Tulsa, Okla. and Kelley Cromwell of Springtown, Texas; sons: Kurt Spears of Dardanelle and Keith Spears of Russellville; sisters: Myra Coover of Spencer and Linda Edwardson of Sioux Rapids; eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle, Ark.
