Joann McNally and Matthew Kenny were united in marriage July 28, 2007, at Holy Family Parish, Assumption Catholic Church of Emmetsburg. Father Clem Currans officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Peg McNally of Emmetsburg and the groom is the son of Tom and Patty Kenny of Ruthven.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line dress of ivory beaded lace with a champagne sash and bow and a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and roses.
Maid of Honor was Beth McNally, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Langel, sister of the bride; Amy Huberty, sister of the bride; and Eryn Mehan, friend of the bride. Honorary Flower girls were Lydia Huberty, niece of the bride and McKenna Langel, niece of the bride.
Best Man was Brandon Kenny, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were: Zach De Young, friend of the groom; Mike Cacek, friend of the groom; Joey Pomerenke, friend of the groom. Ring bearers were Steven Huberty, nephew of the bride and Ben Huberty, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Steve Huberty, brother-in-law of the bride and Kevin Langel, brother-in-law of the bride.
Soloists were Rick Miller, uncle of the bride and Alyssa Miller, cousin of the bride. Pianist was Lori Kliegl, friend of the bride.
Joann is a graduate of South Dakota State University and is a high school Science teacher at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School.
Matthew is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College and is currently employed as Dock Manager at Danbom Lakeside Engineering in Milford.
A reception and dance was held following the wedding at the VFW in Emmetsburg. After a honeymoon to Duluth, Minnesota, the couple has made their home in Fostoria.
