George S. Johnson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Pierre, S.D.
George S. Johnson was born April 14, 1934, the son of Milo Ingram and Frances Viola (Murray) Johnson in Laurens. He was raised and educated in Laurens, graduating from Laurens High School.
George was united in marriage to Joleen (Romelle) Johnson. They later divorced and he married Audrey Mae Fear at Nashua.
George worked for Wells Blue Bunny as a milkman for several years. He was a member of Tabernacle of Praise in Pierre, S.D.
He is survived by his children: Kate Budzisz and husband, Russ of Manitowoc, Wis., Julie Mefferd and husband, Larry of Pierre, and Dan Johnson of Austin, Minn.; step-children: Robin Nelson of Parker, Colo., Dan Fear and wife, Nancy of Milford, Jackie Anderson and husband, Mark of Milford; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Betty Borland and husband, Bill of Johnston, and Marda Melohn and husband, Marvin of Albert City.
