Sandra and Jacob Kress

Sandra Wenke and Jacob Kress were united in marriage August 4, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Madison, Wis. Father Bill Kottensette officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michelle and Theodore Wenke of Douds, Iowa, and the groom is the son of Cynthia and Russell Kress of Webb, Iowa.

Matron of Honor was Jacqueline Shinn, sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Jacinta Wenke, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Patricia Wanat, sister of the bride; Beth Peterson, friend of the bride; Miranda Pommier, friend of the bride; and Sarah Poole, friend of the couple.

Best man was Nathan Kress, brother of the groom. Junior groomsman was Joshua Wenke, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Josh Kohlhaas, friend of the couple; Chad Whiting, cousin of the groom; Thaddeus Wenke, brother of the bride; and Zachary Wenke, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jason Bovee, Bart Halverson and Brian Householder.

Sandra is currently employed at Case New Holland, Racine, Wis., as a Gear Manufacturing Engineer.

Jacob is currently employed at U.S. Fire Protection, Lake Forest, Ill., as a Commercial Building Fire Sprinkler Designer.

A reception was held at West Point. After a honeymoon in Colorado, the couple have made their home in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
