Memorial services for Mr. Timothy Mills, 60, of Greenville, will be held at 10 a.m., today, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Warner Chapel of Spencer. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer.

Timothy passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at home.

There will be a military service conducted by American Legion - Glen Pedersen Post 1 of Spencer.

Timothy Roger Mills, the son of Roger and Margaret (Fisk) Mills, was born on Jan. 23, 1947, in Spencer. His childhood years were spent on a farm east of Greenville. He attended school at Clay Central in Royal. Following graduation, he entered into the U.S Navy. He served from Jan. 30, 1964, until his honorable discharge on Dec. 18, 1967. While he was in the military he served on the USS Vancouver and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

After the military he returned to the Greenville area where he worked at the Municipal Power Plant east of Spencer and then Halsne International as a mechanic. He was forced to retire in 1979, due to an unfortunate accident. He also worked at the Rossie Elevator in the fall during harvest time.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tim is survived by his brother, Larry Mills of Inyokern, Calif.; two aunts; several cousins; other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
