Beatrice passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007.

Beatrice Evelyn (Arms) Coover was born to Roy and Mabel (Garrett) Arms on July 11, 1914, in rural Spencer. After her father's death in 1915, her mother moved with the family to a farm near Greenville, where Beatrice spent her childhood, attending and graduating from Greenville school.

On December 21, 1932, she married Adrian Coover. They lived for a while where the Country Inn was located. After a few years, they moved to a farm southeast of Spencer, where they lived until Adrian's retirement. Following his retirement, they moved into Spencer.

Mrs. Coover was a longtime member of the Greenville Friends Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. When that church closed, she moved with the building itself, and began attending and later became a member of the Spencer Church of the Nazerene, later known as the Spencer Family Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; one sister; and a daughter.

She is survived by one son, Keith and his wife, Shirley, of Harwood, Texas; two daughters and their husbands: Debra and Dr. Richard Maage of Hardin, Mon.; and Cynthia and Dr. Mike Alper of Danville, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Erwin and Marlyn Barglof of Linn Grove; and one sister, Pearl Welle of Milford.
