Funeral services for David Noethe, 53, of Spencer were held Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Paul Hansen officiated the service.
Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Military services were conducted by American Legion Glen Pedersen Post No. 1. Mr. Noethe passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his home in Spencer.
David Daniel Noethe, the son of Urban and Orese (Allard) Noethe, was born June 6, 1954, in Hartley. His childhood years were spent in Everly where he attended school.
On Nov. 12, 1971, David was united in marriage to Nancy Streed in Spencer. Following their marriage, David joined the Army and was stationed in Germany with Nancy until his honorable discharge in 1974.
Following his discharge they moved to Spencer. David was employed by Graham Tire in Spencer while attending Iowa Lakes Community College. David graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. He then went on to work as a law enforcement officer in Ayrshire, and a security guard at Shopko in Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Thomas Noethe.
David is survived by his three children: Christy Noethe of Spencer, Ryan Noethe of Spencer, and Kirk Noethe and wife, Kim of Spencer; four grandchildren; five sisters: Evelyn Noethe of Sioux Falls, S.D., Phyllis Gillespie of Primghar, JoAnn Killmer of Spencer; Barbara Conrad of Fallon, Nevada, and Joyce Sandelin of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and two brothers: Urban "Butch" Noethe of Spirit Lake, and James Noethe of Cedar Rapids, IA;.
