Services for Robert Keepers, 58, of Spencer, will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home of Emmetsburg.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Robert passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at his home in Spencer.

Robert Ray Keepers, son of Alvin and Marguerite (Graham) Keepers, was born Jan. 6, 1949, in Whittemore.  He attended Cylinder Consolidated School through his junior year and graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1967. After graduation, he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. In 1969 he was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was employed at Ernie William John Deere in Algona and was also a salesman for the Vernon Company. Bob worked at the United States Post Office for the past 21 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jackie.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda of Spencer; his children, Brian and his wife, Tammy of Holland, Mich., Brett and his wife, Maria of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Brandon and his wife, Dustyn of Holland, Mich.; stepchildren: Cindy Mart and her husband, Todd of Estherville, and Chad Cronk and his wife, Jessica of Urbandale; seven grandchildren; a brother, Thomas and his wife, Karen of Bancroft; a sister, Mary Helgevold and her husband, David of Hawarden.
