Funeral services for Mrs. Bev Zittritsch, 66, of Spencer, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Warner Chapel of Spencer. Rev. Shurmaine McAlpine will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., today, with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Warner Funeral Home of Spencer.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer.

Bev passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Beverly Jean Zittritsch, the daughter of Clifford and Lillian (Godfredson) Ringsdorf, was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Titonka. She received her early education in Algona.

Bev married Thomas Zittritsch on June 24, 1958, in Rock Rapids.

Following their marriage, they moved to Spencer where Bev worked as a waitress at Stub's Ranch Kitchen and later, Thurston's. She then worked at Van Ladder and for 19 years she was employed at Spencer Municipal Utilities until retiring in 2001. Bev was a member of the Eagle's..

She is preceded in death by her father.

Bev is survived by her husband, Tom Zittritsch of Spencer; two sons: Jim Zittritsch and wife, Joyce of Norfolk, Neb., and Steve Zittritsch and wife, Beth of Spencer; her daughter, Lori Damman of Spencer; six grandchildren; her mother and step-father, Lillian and Jack Porter of Spencer; two brothers: Dick Ringsdorf and his wife, Shirley of Algona, and Terry Ringsdorf of Omaha, Neb.; and five sisters: Jane Blanchard and husband, Gene of Spencer, Bonnie Zittritsch and husband, Ronnie Zittritsch of Morton, Ill., Sharon Elbert and husband, Chuck of Mason City, Janice Struthers and husband, Kirk of Algona, and Shirley Smith and husband, Peter of Alabama.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
