Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Joseph Naber, 53, of Spencer, were held Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Spencer. Rev. Ed Murray will officiate the service.

Jerry passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Spencer Hospital.

Gerald "Jerry" Joseph Naber, the son of William Joseph and LaBelle K. (Hillman) Naber, was born Oct. 8, 1954, in Emmetsburg. His childhood years were spent in Ayrshire, where he received his education, graduating from Ayrshire Consolidated High School.

Following graduation, he worked as a farm hand and then worked for West Bend Elevator in Ayrshire. He later moved to Spencer and worked in plant operations and served as an EMT for Spencer Hospital for 16 years.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents: Kenneth Hillman, Fanny Gideons, William C. Naber and Helen Naber.

Jerry is survived by Jane Hoffman and their daughter, Jayden Kay Naber of Spencer; and his brothers and sisters: Kathy Naber of Cedar Rapids, William J. Naber Jr. and his wife, Marcia of Spencer, Donald Naber of Dickens, Angie Tatman and her husband, Brian of Roundup, Mont., Mary Bierman and her husband, Tim of Larrabee, Jim Naber of Spencer, Mike Naber and his wife, Denise of Prairie City, and John Naber and his wife, Judy of Ruthven.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
