Funeral services for Clovis H. Morse, 71 of Spencer will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at Sioux Rapids Baptist Church of Sioux Rapids. Rev. James Marshall will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Sunday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer.

Clovis passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at home in Spencer.

Clovis H. Morse, the son of Clarence and Rose Marie Arel Morse, was born Dec. 6, 1935 in North Troy, Vt. His childhood years were spent in North Troy, where he received his education.

On Oct. 26, 1968, Clovis married Joyce Brooks in North Troy, Vt., and following their marriage, they lived in Newport Center, Vt., and in 1976, they moved to Spencer, where he worked for Eaton Corporation for almost 22 years, until his retirement.  He also attended Bible College and became a licensed minister. While living in Spencer, he was an active member of the Sioux Rapids Baptist Church, where he assisted in the church's ministerial needs and served as music director of the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Joyce Brooks on Feb. 11, 1998.

Clovis is survived by one daughter, Hope Beam and her husband, Troy of Norfolk, Neb.; one son, Thomas Morse and his wife, Marcia of Spencer; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Morse and Wesley Morse; eight brothers and sisters: Doris Wright of Windsor, Vt., Frank Morse of Brooksville, Fla., William and Katie Morse of Hyannis Port, Mass., Richard and Dee Dee Morse of Cornish, N.H., Gordon and Shirley Morse of Clarmont, N.H., Pearl and Bob Landry of Tunbridge, Vt., Florence Dau of Clarmont, N.H., and Shirley and Reg Remick of Newport, N.H.; and his father and mother-in-law, Lincoln and Kathy Brooks of Spencer.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
