Judy J. Bell, 69, of Spencer, formally of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, unexpectedly at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Matt Conover from the St. James United Methodist Church officiating.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Judy was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Spencer, the daughter of Elmer and Beatrice (Hughes) Franker. She graduated from Marathon High School in 1956. She married Harvey E. Bell on Nov. 25, 1957, in Jackson, Minn. She was a housewife until her children were all in school. She sold Avon part-time, worked as a cashier at Laurence’s Super Market and Economy Market until retiring in 1998. Judy then moved back to Spencer. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey; a daughter, Pamela; and a granddaughter Katie.

Judy is survived by her two daughters: Dawn Johannsen and her husband, Gerald of Rogers, Ark., and Wendy Ewoldt and her husband, Brent of Lewisville, Texas; two sons: Michael Bell of Sacramento, Calif., and Tracy Bell and his wife, Angie of Pensacola, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
