John William Faulkner

Graveside ervices for Mr. John (Joe) Faulkner, 73, of Spencer, formerly of Apache Junction, Ariz., will be held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Milford Cemetery.

John passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Spencer Hospital.

John William Faulkner, the son of Gerald and Goldie (Hupp) Faulkner, was born March 19, 1934, in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Spencer where he received his education and graduated from Spencer High School.

Following graduation John worked as a truck driver while owning a salvage yard in Milford. On July 9, 1953, John was united in marriage to Darlene Christopherson in Jackson, Minn.

Following their marriage, they moved to Milford where they worked together at the salvage yard until they retired in 1982.  John and Darlene moved to Apache Junction, and remained for the last 20 years. Following the death of Darlene, John moved to Ruthven in 2001 to be closer to family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene; parents; and one daughter LaDonna Faulkner.

John is survived by his children: Judy Echelberger and husband, Frank, Marty Faulkner and wife, Laura, Carolyn Borkavec and husband, Tony, Amy Moore, and Lisa and Anselmo Zapata; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
