Deputies responded to a father's request for help in rural Clay County approximately 4:15 p.m., Thursday, after he found items he believed to be drug paraphernalia. Suspicions were confirmed by the deputies and a more thorough search of the teenager's room and car led to several additional pieces of paraphernalia, along with stolen Hydrocodone, which is a prescription. The father also reported the theft of $2,800 cash, for which he suspected his daughter to be responsible. Deputies were unable to locate the daughter and several steps were put into place in an attempt to take her into custody.
Approximately 12:40 am, Friday, a Clay County deputy made a traffic stop west of Spencer in the 1800 mile of B24, and discovered the sought after female was a passenger in a car driven by another juvenile female.
