Services for Mary E. Faulstich, 75, will take place at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church of Ruthven. Revs. Paul Kaldahl and William Smith will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at East Lawn Cemetery in Algona.

Mary passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Mary Elizabeth Faulstich, daughter of Frank and Lucille (Kidd) Fleischmann, was born June 18, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo. She received her education at St. Anthony of Padua School graduating in 1949.

On Jan. 18, 1952, Mary was united in marriage to Eugene William Faulstich. To this union three children were born.

Mary assisted Gene throughout his business career working as a receptionist and secretary making sure that all of the behind-the-scenes tasks were completed with precision.

Mary was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. She was a member of Friends of the Library in Ruthven and was an active volunteer at the Ruthven Community Care Center as well as Dinner Date. She was a past member of the Algona Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; and a sister, Lucy Jakubek.

Mary is survived by her children: Barbara Tentis and husband, Steve of Billings, Mont., Sandra Harris and husband, Shane of Hardin, Mont., and John Faulstich and wife, Mary of Ruthven; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Yates and husband, Tom of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers: Frank and Edward Fleischmann --  both of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers-in-law, Al Jakubek and Wilfred Faulstich; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Leek, Addie Fraser and Olga Faulstich; and an extended family including half brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are being handled by Martin-Mattice Funeral Home.
