Funeral services for Reinhold A. Anderson, 85, will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church of Ruthven. Rev. Dennis Meyer will officiate the service.

Visitation will take place beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Zion Lutheran Church.

Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery of Ruthven.

Reinhold Andrea (Andy) Anderson was born Sept. 11, 1922 to Axel and Hilma (Pierson) Anderson in Ruthven. He attended country school in Clay County, graduating from Ruthven High School in 1940.

In April, 1944, Reinhold was united in marriage to Eve Rose Wilcox and to this union was born three children: Carolyn, Dennis and Jane.

Reinhold was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven, serving as head user for many years. He lived and worked in Rockford, Ill. for two and a half years returning home to help his father with the farming. He worked on the railroad for two years and then for John Morrell for 26 and a half years in Estherville.

Reinhold was preceded in death by his wife, Eve Rose; infant daughter, Carolyn; his parents Axel and Hilma; and two sisters: Esther Allen and husband, Swede and Clara Holmgren and husband, Iver.

Reinhold is survived by his son, Dennis Anderson and his wife, Fran of Atlantic; a daughter, Jane Baedke and her husband, Jerry of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildrens.

Arrangements are being handled by Martin-Mattice Funeral Home.
