Donald passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at home in Spencer with his family at his side after a very long illness.
Donald Delbert Storey, the son of Delbert and Viola (Arndt) Storey, was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Dickens. His childhood years were spent in Dickens, where he received his education at Dickens Elementary School and later graduating from Spencer High School.
Don married Dianne Kay Pederson on Sept. 30, 1962, in Chester, S.D. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer. He enrolled in a taxidermy school in Minnesota in 1982 and went on to open a very successful taxidermy school bringing in students from all over the U.S. and Canada. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. Don was also a life member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Donald is survived by his wife, Dianne (Dee) of Spencer; three sons: Jeffrey Storey and his wife, Sheila, Joel Storey and Jason Storey; two grandchildren; one brother, Denny Storey and his wife, Linda of Dickens; his father and mother in-law, Alvin and Ruby Pederson of Chester, S.D.; and his brother-in-laws: Bob Pederson and his wife, Barb of Tea, S.D., Ted Pederson and his wife, Sue of Chandler, Ariz., and Tom Pederson and his wife, Gwen of Lake Ponticet, S.D.
