A short burial service for Eleanor Ann Burg (Schas), 83, of Redmond, Ore., will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

Eleanor passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, of cancer.

Eleanor was born June 19, 1923, on a farm in Clay County, to Raymond and Emily Burg. She graduated from high school in Gillett Grove. She married David Schas on Jan. 24, 1961, in Missoula, Mont.

Eleanor was a homemaker. She moved to Redmond, Oregon in 1980.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Schas and a son, Clayton Free.

Survivors include two sons: Jake, of Sisters, and Jim, of Powell Butte, Ore.; a daughter, Julie Youngblood, of Allen, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
