Funeral services for Mrs. Rosemary Koenen, 83 of Spencer, will be held at 10 a.m., today, Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Spencer. Rev. Ed Murray will officiate the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Interment will take place at North Lawn Memorial Park of Spencer.

Rosemary passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 at Spencer Hospital.

Rosemary, the daughter of Clyde and Agnes McCabe Walton, was born Oct. 16, 1923 in Linn Grove. Her childhood years were spent in Linn Grove, where she received her education, graduating from Storm Lake High School. She later attended Buena Vista College. Following her schooling, she worked at a Photography Studio in Storm Lake.

Rosemary married Walter Glenn Koenen on May 1, 1947 in Storm Lake. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer, where she raised her family and worked at Nieman's Sewing Center for a few years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; two sons: Scott and Steven; and one brother, Jack Walton.

Rosemary is survived by one son, Robert and his wife, Deborah of Lincoln, Neb.; and one daughter, Ann Smith of Spencer; six grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
