Margaret Lois Fick, 86, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, Calif., near her home in the Vallecito retirement community in Newbury Park, where she had resided for 13 years.

Born to Virgil and Blanche Dennis in Spencer, Sept. 7, 1920, Margaret and her parents moved to Los Angeles in 1940. Married in 1943, she was wife to Norbert Glenn Fick for 59 years.

Margaret's career was primarily that of wife, mother and homemaker. While her sons were growing up, she became very active in Los Angeles public schools parent-teachers association, serving as president of Westwood Elementary, Emerson Junior High and University High School PTA organizations, as well as serving for many years as an officer in numerous capacities on the 10th District PTA Board. In her later years, Margaret continued her community involvement activities serving in various capacities on the board of the Vallecita homeowners social association, Los Amigos.

Margaret is survived by her two sons: Glenn Wayne and Dennis Lee: two grandsons; and daughter-in-law, Dona Mae.
