Angie Mahrt and Christopher McMullen

Jeff and Judy Mahrt of Spencer are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Angie Suzanne Mahrt, to Christopher Douglas McMullen. Chris is the son of Doug and Wendy McMullen also of Spencer.

Angie is a 2001 graduate of Spencer High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Iowa, where she received a bachelors degree in elementary education. She also has received her coaching endorsement. She will be teaching third grade at Waukee Elementary School starting in the fall.

Chris is a 2002 graduate of Spencer High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, where he received a degree in Technology Management. He is superintendent of construction for Hubbell Homes in Des Moines.

The couple is planning an Aug. 11, 2007 wedding at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
