Funeral services for Mrs. Lorraine Adeline Erichsen, 85 of Harley will be held at 10:30 a.m., today, Friday, July 13, 2007 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley. Rev. Dave Ericksen will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at Buena Vista Memorial Park of Storm Lake.

Lorraine passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Prairie View Nursing Home of Sanborn.

Pallbearers are her grandchildren: Brice Erichsen, Matthew Erichsen, Evan Erichsen, Seth Erichsen, Amber Long, Teri Wyman, Vanessa Erichsen and Shelby Erichsen.

Lorraine, the daughter of August and Neta Arp Miller, was born Aug. 30, 1921 in Alta. Her childhood years were spent in Storm Lake, Iowa, where she received her education, graduating from Storm Lake High School. 

Lorraine married Marvin Erichsen on July 2, 1944 in Storm Lake.  Following their marriage, they moved to a farm north of Everly, where they began farming. They moved to Storm Lake in 1949, where they continued farming and moved to Hartley in 1961, where they farmed until their retirement in 1987. In 1987, they moved into the town of Hartley. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters: Verna Prentice and Evelyn Steward.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Marvin Erichsen of Hartley; three sons and their wives: Thomas and Karolyn Erichsen of Spirit Lake, Keith and Anjie Erichsen of Toronto, Canada and Alan and Lori Erichsen of Hartley; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanore Otto of Storm Lake.

Warner Funeral Home of Hartley is in charge of arrangements.
