Funeral services for Richard Arnold Landoe, 63 of Spencer will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Bethany Lutheran Church of Spencer. Rev. Tom Dettmer will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Warner Funeral Home of Spencer with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Casket bearers will be: Clark Marshall, Kevin Lee, Yancey Birch, Frank Birch, Zeb Birch and Larry Birch.

Honorary bearers will be: Justin Lee, Allan Schuster Sr. and Rory Schuster.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer. Military services will be provided by American Legion - Glen Pederson Post No. 1.

Richard passed away Monday, July 9, 2007 in Spencer.

Richard, the son of Leonard and June Landoe was born Sept. 22, 1943, in Dickinson, N.D. His childhood years were spent in St. Cloud, Minn. and Devils Lake, N.D. where he received his early education. His family moved to Spencer, where he graduated from Spencer High School in 1961.

Following graduation Richard entered the Air Force. He was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, S.D., where he worked in airborne missile maintenance in the 28th AMMS. Richard was later stationed with the 2AMMS at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, La.

On April 8, 1968, Richard was united in marriage to Judith Birch at Barksdale Air Force Base. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1968, Richard worked for Sears Roebuck & Company until moving back to Spencer in 1971. He then went to work for Sherwin Williams and the Jobs Training Partnership Act before retiring in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Caleb Johnathon Schuster.

Richard is survived by his wife, Judith Landoe, of Spencer; two daughters: Christin Lee and husband, Justin of Spencer, and Jennifer Schuster and husband, Rory of Spencer; two grand-daughters; and sister, Barbara Landoe of Minneapolis, Minn.

Arrangements are being handled by Warner Funeral Home of Spencer.
