Services for Brian Lee Burger, 48 of Milan, Mich. were held Monday at Warner Chapel of Spencer. Rev. David Werts officiated.
Interment will take place at a later date.
Brian passed away at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer on Friday, July 6, 2007.
Brian, the son of Roy and Genevieve Dyer Burger, was born Sept. 7, 1958 in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Gillett Grove, where he received his education, later graduating from Webb Consolidated School in 1977. After his schooling, he remained in Clay County, where he worked at manufacturing plants in Emmetsburg and Laurens, before moving to Michigan in the mid 1980's.
Brian married Lorraine Brodersen on Sept. 2, 1990 in Spencer. He established a successful business, specializing in vehicle accenting and window cleaning, while in Michigan. In 1996, he returned to Iowa to help with his ailing father. In 1997, he was involved in a life changing accident.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Brian is survived by his wife, Lorraine Burger of Milan, Mich.; his mother, Genevieve Burger of Gillett Grove; three daughters: Kimberly Voelker of Clio, Mich., Kayma Kierczak and her husband, Kris of Milan, and Danae Mis of Clio, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Janelle Peterson of Milan; a stepson, Theron Brodersen of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; three sisters: Judy Bevers and her husband, Lannie of Gillett Grove, Gloria Ball and her husband, Hardie of Sioux Rapids, and Vicki Weisbrod of Dickens; and three brothers: Harley Burger and his wife, Dorothy of Gillett Grove, Carl Burger and his wife, Jody of Laurens, and Gary Burger of Yankton, S.D.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
