Lorin Donaldson, 94, of Lake Havasu, Calif., formerly of Milford, passed away June 13, 2007.
A Lodge of Sorrow will be conducted by the Elks Lodge 2399 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. 86405.
Mr. Lorin Edward Donaldson, the son of Orville and Edna Donaldson, was born Dec. 25, 1912. His youth was spent in Milford, where he graduated from high school in 1931. Following high school, he worked in the local weekly newspaper and printing. At the age of 21, he moved to California and worked in the printing shops in Glendale, Calif. before eventually starting his own print shop, Donaldson Printing, in La Crescenta, Calif. After 14 years, he sold his shop in California and in 1972 moved to Lake Havasu City and started Donaldson Instant Printing.
Mr. Donaldson became a member of the Havasu Chamber of Commerce and joined the Elks Lodge 2399, becoming an Exalted Ruler. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Score, Eagles, and was a charter member of the Golden K Kiwanis. He also was an Elder of the Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Donaldson is survived by his wife, Doris; sons: Lynn and Bert Donaldson; daughter, Joyce Pearson; stepdaughter, Bonnie Barnard; sister, Doris Hemphill; four grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
