Services for Mrs. Margaret Lucille (Fisk) Malecki, 84, of Spencer, formerly of the Rossie area, are scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Warner Chapel. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Tim Mills, John Mills, Larry Mills and Vince Trierweiler.
Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer.
Margaret passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at the Ruthven Care Center.
Margaret, the daughter of Al and Bertha (Namur) Fisk, was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Spencer. Her childhood years were spent in the Rossie area where she attended school and graduated from Rossie High School.
Following graduation Margaret attended business school. In 1941, she was united in marriage to Roger Mills, in Storm Lake. Following their marriage Margaret worked for the Farm Bureau and did various clerical work for businesses in Spencer. Margaret later went to Long Beach, Calif. and attended beauty school.
In 1954, Margaret was united in her second marriage to Frank Malecki in Long Beach. Together they purchased Honey's Hair Salon and later changed the name to Mr. M's Hair Salon, which they owned and operated on Pacific Boulevard for 20 years. Following their retirement they moved back to Rossie where they have been for the past 16 years.
Margaret was an active member of various church organizations, she was a past president of the Cosmetology Association, and has also been a devoted member of the Women of The Moose since 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Otto Fisk.
Margaret is survived by her two sons: Timothy Mills, of Greenville, and Larry Mills and wife, Bonnie, of Inyokern, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
