Memorial services for Jurene "Jeri" Murray, 58, of Aurora, Colo., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel of Estherville. Rev. Doug Burton will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Jurene passed away Satuday, April 21, 2007, at Fitzsimmons Medical Center in Aurora.

Jurene Kay Hansen, the daughter of Albert and Alice (Vangen) Hansen, was born July 5, 1948, in Mountain Lake, Minn.

Jeri spent her childhood years in Jackson, Minn., and when 13 she moved with her family to Estherville. She attended the Estherville schools and graduated from Estherville High School in 1966.

After completing her education she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she helped look after her nieces and nephews. On Jan. 23, 1971, Jeri was united in marriage to John Murray in Estherville. Following their wedding, the couple made their home in Estherville where they raised their family. Jeri was employed at Iowa Trust and Savings Bank in Estherville for several years and later she went to work for Sperry Corporation in Jackson. In 1991, Jeri moved to Aurora. She was employed at US Lan Communications and most recently fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming an airline flight attendant. At the time of her death she was employed at Republic Airlines.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters: Sharon Hess and Molly Hinds; and one brother, Clifford Hansen.

Jurene is survived by two daughters: Kim Ahrenstorff of Wallingford, and Donna Callewaert and her husband, Andy of Overland Park, Kan.; three granddaughters; John Murray of Jackson; her brother, Ron Zehr and his wife, Jackie of Leucadia, Calif.; brothers-in-law: Bruce Hinds of Spencer and Art Hess of Burlington.
