Carissa Rabel and Matthew Skarin

Chuck and Carol Rabel of Spencer are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carissa Lee Rabel, to Matthew Allen Skarin. They are planning a Sept. 1, 2007, wedding.

Carissa is a 1999 graduate of Spencer High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She is the Head Age Group coach for the Black Hawk Area Swim Team, and the assistant coach for the University of Northern Iowa's Women's Swim Team in Cedar Falls.

Matthew is the son of Steve and Sherri Skarin of Omaha, Neb. He is a 2000 graduate of Spencer High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Iowa. He is a transportation supervisor for Ruan Transportation in Cedar Falls.
