Kimberly Jo Cavanaugh and Michael George Kuhimann were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Father Bruce Lawler performed the double ring ceremony at 2:30 pm.
Parents of the bride are Tom and Sue Cavanaugh of Rembrandt. Parents of the groom are Rob and Faye Kuhimann of Algona.
Honored guest was Bob Struve, grandfather of the bride.
Deb Lenhart of Storm Lake, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Penny Cavanaugh of Rembrandt, sister-in-law of the bride; Missy Lamb of Plano, Texas, friend of the couple; Lindsay Sweeney of Des Moines, friend of the couple; Jennifer Christian of Sioux Rapids, friend of the bride; Kelly Hanna of St. Charles, Minn., friend of the bride, and Stef Mosbo of Wea-Wea Hawaii, friend of the bride. Kaitlyn Lenhart, niece of the couple, served as Junior Bridesmaid.
Casey Kuhimann of Chaska, Minn., brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Bob Kuhimann of Algona, brother of the groom; Phil Reemtsma of DeWitt, friend of the couple; Chad Pennington of Perry, friend of the couple; Scott Good of Boone, friend of the couple; Barry Camenish of Ames, friend of the couple, and Troy Frideres of Ottumwa, friend of the couple.
Ring bearers were Wyatt Kuhimann and Blake Cavanaugh, nephews of the couple. Flower girls were Brooklyn Cavanaugh, niece of the couple, and Madyson Duncan, Goddaughter of the bride.
Guests were ushered to their seats by Bart Cavanaugh of Rembrandt, brother of the bride; Ned Lenhart of Storm Lake, brother-in-law of the bride: Tom Hansen of Peterson, friend of the couple, and Chris Swanson of Peterson, friend of the couple.
Candle lighters were Alex Kuhimann and Luke Lenhart, nephews of the couple. Kathy Paul, sister of the groom was the reader. Special wedding music was provided by Eloise Obman as organist and Alyssa Ruhs as the soloist.
Guests were greeted at the guest book by Jessica Kuhimann, Sara Paul, Alexis Geisinger, and Elizabeth Lenhart, all nieces of the couple.
A wedding reception was held at the Alta Community Center. Hosts were Nancy Kuhimann, Kathy Paul, and Mary Kuhimann.
Kimberly has a Bachelor of Science degree from lowa State University and is employed by Hewlett-Packard. Michael has a master's degree in ruminant nutrition from lowa State University and is employed by Worthington Vet Clinic. The couple is now at home on their farm near Ottosen.
