Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Reineke-Schutt, 91 of Paullina will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Bethany Lutheran Church of Sutherland. Rev. LeRoy Reimer.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the services at the church.

Interment will take place at Holstein Cemetery of Holstein.

Lunch will be served following the services at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.

Casket bearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

Mildred passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at River Park Health Care Center of Rock Island, Ill.

Mildred Kathleen Reineke-Schutt, the daughter of John Henry and Elsie Spieker Kroll, was born Oct. 25, 1915 in Ida County. Her childhood years were spent in Cushing, where she received her education in a country school.

Mildred married Lester Reineke on Aug. 15, 1934 in Holstein. Following their marriage they lived on farm southwest of Holstein in Logan Township. Mildred was a homemaker and helped Lester on the farm. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein. They moved an acreage near Sutherland when they retired in 1970. At that time, she began working as a nursing assistant in Paullina. Lester passed away in 1987.

She married Walter Schutt on Oct. 11, 1989 in Storden, Minn. Following their marriage, the couple continued to live in Sutherland. She was currently a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lester; her second husband, Walter; one son, Wendell; seven brothers; and three sisters.

Mildred is survived by her children: Loyd and his wife, Sharon of Cherokee, Oliver and his wife, Mercedes of Pensecola, Fla., Patricia Howard of Akron, Mary Reineke and Eddie Scott -- both of Rock Island, Steven Reineke of Archer, and Junior and his wife, Jean of Boone; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Sutherland is in charge of arrangements.
