Vivian Adeline Caskey, 88 passed away on Feb. 24, 2007 at her home in Spirit Lake.
Pallbearers were Cecil Caskey, Dennis Dean, Don Gregerson, Karl Kischer, Terry Remillard and Bob Cosens.
Interment took place at Spirit Lake Memorial Gardens.
Vivian was born on Aug. 4, 1918 in Spirit Lake, the daughter of Rasmas and Ida (Bettin) Thompson. On Jan. 10, 1936, she was united in marriage to Howard Caskey in Spirit Lake. In her earlier years, Vivian worked as a housekeeper, picked strawberries and cooked and waitressed at Vick's Corner while her husband worked in the station. he then worked over 30 years at Stoller Fisheries in Spirit Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard, seven sisters and four brothers.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Freeda Owen and husband, Tom; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Cleora Pederson; and sister-in-law, Norma Remillard.
Services for Vivian were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at Turner Funeral Home. Rev. John Messer officiated the service.
Turner Funeral Home was in charge of the service.
