Royal council approves water, sewer rate increases

ROYAL — During the Royal City Council meeting Wednesday, council members approved the third and final reading of water and sewer service rate increases. The minimum rate for water will be $20 per 1,300 gallons a month, and the rate above the minimum will be $7.80 per 1,000 gallons. Ambassadors welcome new owners at Heartland Kennels (Local News ~ 06/15/17)
The Spencer Chamber Ambassadors visited Miranda and Eric Shannon, new owners at Heartland Kennels, located at 1840 280th St., west of Fostoria. Miranda Shannon worked for the previous owners through high school and college, and attended Iowa State University majoring in animal science and pre-veterinary medicine. The couple, who previously lived in Spirit Lake, purchased the kennel and moved there this spring. They plan many renovations and updates in the future.
