Spencer to roll out new district motto

Spencer school officials plan to unveil a new motto at the start of next school year. A majority of the 1,214 people casting votes on the matter selected "Learning Today...Leading Tomorrow" as the district's new maxim. William DePue, 65, Cylinder, driving a 2004 Ford F150 and flatbed trailer, at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, pulled out of the Sale Barn, located on Highway 71, south of Spencer, with a truckload of hay, entering the highway at a slower speed than traffic at that time, causing Sami Jo Londgren, 20, Milford, driving a 2004 GMC Envoy, to overcorrect and panic break leading to her losing control of her vehicle, at which point she collided with a parked 2004 Ford F350 and cattle trailer, owned by Dean Schlinz, 48, Cleghorn, who was at the Sale Barn conducting business. ...
