Keeping the holiday budget in perspective
Just looking at the results of a recent WalletHub poll which determined the cities with the highest and lowest holiday budgets in the U.S. 563 largest cities, 7 of the top 10 spending city residents reside in Texas.
While Palo Alto, California sits on top with $2,886 in personal dollars budgeted for the holidays.
Flower Mound, Frisco and Sugar Land -- all in Texas own the 2, 3 and 4 spots. Allen, Pearland, The Woodlands and League City -- also in Texas -- round out the 7, 8, 9 and 10 spots. League City spending amounts to $2,112.
The Lowest Holiday Budget goes to Albany, Georgia in the 563rd spot with $68.
Memphis and Knoxville -- each in Tennessee -- sit 561 and 562 respectively at $98 and $81.
Only one Texas town made the bottom 10, Waco, which budgets $142 finished in 557th position.
So with that broad gap in spending -- what is reasonable? Weigh in.
