Saturday night's King/Vilsack DebatePosted Friday, September 7, 2012, at 9:39 AM
I want to take a few moments to courage anyone in the general area of the Clay County Fair to turn out for the debate between Rep. Steve King and Christie Vilsack Saturday evening at the Clay County Regional Events Center. The debate is due to start at 5:30 p.m. -- following the Hawkeye vs. Cyclone football game (priorities you know) -- and will pit two completely opposite candidates against one another in a verbal battle over the issues important to the people of northwest Iowa. Anyone interested is welcome to submit a question at the debate for consideration. Time may limit the amount of audience questions. This is an important event and it took a lot of doing in order to host it at the fair, so I'm hopeful there will be strong audience support.
