Extremists take many shapes

We talk about Muslim extremists when we look at 9-11 and other terror attacks on America and its allie around the world, but last week, Anders Behring Breivik proved that Muslims don't have a corner on the market when it comes to extremist, terrorist behavior.

Breivik has admitted bombing the capital and opening fire on a youth group retreat on an island resort in Norway. In an AP story, he reportedly told authorities he expects to spend the rest of his life in prison. Declaring he wanted to save Europe from "Muslim domination."

He is being labeled a Christian extremist is the same fashion as Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

The end result, regardless of Muslim or Christian or any other religious extremist pushed to carry out an attack on innocent civilians, demonstrate that crazy and demented doesn't carry any particular religious label. Terrorism is terrorism - the ends don't justify the means in any of these terrorist attacks - whether performed by or against Christians or Muslims.

It does not appear that he was Christian in any way out sense.

Most all such attacks are carried out by followers of Islam. Such violent ways are taught by them to their children. This cannot be said of any Christian teaching. Such teaching simply is NOT Christian.

I agree ajz, it's not Christian teaching, nevertheless, the assailant apparently claims he is a Christian carrying out a mission. Nothing Christian about what he did, but that's not how he views it.
