2011 A.R.T at the Sanford!

The Artisans Road Trip often has exhibits through the year that give a great cross section of their works. the 2011 Artisan Road Trip Artists are currently exhibiting at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee, Iowa, from August 1 through August 31st.

The hours at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 12:00 Noon to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, you can contact the Sanford Museum at 712/225-3922 or via e-mail at sanfordmuseum@iowatelecom.net

The Artisans Road Trip will let everyone know when there are other traveling exhibits in and around NW Iowa throughout the year. These are (of course!) in addition to the "Main Event" - the 2011 Artisans Road Trip itself - coming this fall from Friday September 30 thru Saturday and Sunday October 1st and 2nd!

Blogger Bio - Bruce Morrison is an artist of the Tallgrass Prairie (Painter/Photographer/Print Maker). He and his wife Georgeann live on a small Tallgrass Prairie remnant where he works as a full-time artist throughout the year. Bruce takes his inspiration from the Tallgrass itself and the natural and cultural heritage of the tallgrass prairie region. Morrison graduated from the School of Art at the University of Iowa. His work can be found in public, corporate and private collections across the United States, Canada and overseas. Blog description - Bruce writes the blog for northwest Iowa's Artisans Road Trip and will share the daily process and ventures taken by area artists participating in each year's A.R.T. event.
