As Marisa Sidles paddles her kayak, the nature around her fills her with artistic inspiration. "I get this up-close and personal view," she said. Artisans Road Trip Artists on Exhibit at the Clear Lake Arts Center!

The Artisans Road Trip has its first exhibition of the year! Showing at the Clear Lake Arts Center; the exhibit began last Friday on January 8 and runs until Saturday, February 13. This exhibit is actually the final exhibition for the artists participating in the 2015 Artisans Road Trip - soon we will have the 2016 A.R.T. group organized and will be looking forward to the new exhibition schedule for 2016!...

Marisa Sidles, 2015 Artisan Road Trip Artists from Terril, has been participating in Spencer's Thursday evening Main Street Market. Marisa works in a variety of media including acrylic painting and whimsical found metal sculptures. Blogger Bio - Bruce Morrison is an artist of the Tallgrass Prairie (Painter/Photographer/Print Maker). He and his wife Georgeann live on a small Tallgrass Prairie remnant where he works as a full-time artist throughout the year. Bruce takes his inspiration from the Tallgrass itself and the natural and cultural heritage of the tallgrass prairie region. Morrison graduated from the School of Art at the University of Iowa. His work can be found in public, corporate and private collections across the United States, Canada and overseas. Blog description - Bruce writes the blog for northwest Iowa's Artisans Road Trip and will share the daily process and ventures taken by area artists participating in each year's A.R.T. event. We'll look into the studio, the shows, the individual medium, and even the thought process of individual artists!
