Acreage anyone?

On the drive to Holstien, Iowa yesterday to celebrate Easter with my family we passed no less than 4 acreages for sale along County Rd. M27 and just as many if not more, that look to be abandoned. I don't get it. I really don't. I am still looking for my acreage. It is always in the forefront of my mind. I would like to find an American Foursquare house and a big barn and plenty of land to have a horse, goat, maybe chickens, a dog or two, lots of cats, and maybe a cow and a pig too. It breaks my heart to see these abandoned farmsteads. I don't know their story but I assume that they were left to a family that chose not to farm as their ancestors did. Maybe the land is tied up in a will dispute. Whatever the reason, it makes my heart sad and I will never allow that to happen to my parent's farm. So please if you have an acreage sitting unoccupied in the Spencer area...give me a call, lets work a deal. My farm roots are calling to me.
