Is this movement really a good thing?

This story asks that question.

What do Africans think about it?

This story helps answer that question.

I know this is going to come off ruff, but I do not know how to make it nicer. I am mixed on this. It seems that Russell has a good heart on this movement, but to have your kid involved at such a young age. I do not agree with what he did with his child. Is that not doing the samething as what this Kony is doing to the young children there? I also wonder (and supported by the black writers) if we need to keep sticking our nose into other ppls problems. We can't even fix our own crap in our own country!

The black writers mostly don't want our help, so why do we do it? Do we think that they don't know what is good for themselves? Do we really know all the facts in this situation or are we just going off our own heart strings? Also want to know why American's don't open up their own back doors and see that this crap is going on in our own nation? Why is it that we can turn a blind eye to our situation, but be all up in another nation's butt for the samething?

Regardless of state, country, race, or gender I believe we should do what's right no matter the situation. I refuse to turn a deaf ear to anyone in need. Everything is not fixable but that doesn't deter me from being a voice to those who have none. In the time you spent, I'm sorry to say," voicing your opinion", you could have been advocating for someone whom you deem worthy of your support. Please take the time to help advocate for those that you need your voice, instead of wasting it trying to take away from a cause that I felt is attention worthy.

My name is Alyce Townsend. I have lived in Spencer, Iowa for the last 6 and half years. I'm originally a small town girl from Primghar but moved to Spencer because of the big city shopping with small town appeal. Okay, maybe that's not the whole truth. I hate driving in snow. Living in Spencer allows me to never have to leave town in the winter! I'm a 26 year old mother of three children ages 6, 5, and 4. Yes, that's how old they are. Yes, I know. Please stop laughing. I am currently enrolled in Iowa Lakes Community College for my Business Degree with hopes for someday having my own online clothing store. When I'm not doing homework, chasing kids, or cleaning house I love to write. Writing is my release and I currently have been working on screenplays I hope will someday become Oscar worthy motion pictures. I must warn you that I do at times have a twisted sense of humor, so I hope that when reading my blogs of whatever topic I may joke about, you leave with a smile and a whole new perspective!
