Runners & Bikers: Let's Get Together In Blue Zone SpiritPosted Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 10:45 PM
I like to run and bike. So do a lot of citizens in and around Spencer.
An "app" I use when I run or bike is "mapmyrun". It tells me how fast (OK---how slow) I am running or biking and then maps the route taken. It is a pretty cool app and free but I am not trying to promote it. I did, however, use it to search for subscribers near Spencer, Iowa, and found quite a few. So I sent everybody a note/"friend request" saying:
"I just did a search of folks on map my run near Spencer, Iowa and several folks appeared including yourself. I think it would be cool to start some biking/running groups. I will blog about it on the Daily Reporter Blog I do.....check it out:
So here is the blog....
You runners & bikers out there, if you are interested in meeting or even forming an informal group (we could meet periodically for a bike ride or run) post a comment or shoot me an email.
