Another mass shooting occurred in Orlando Florida this weekend. Like others, it was senseless and naturally leaves people wondering why. Omar Mateen, 29, decided to kill 50 people and hospitalize 53 at a gay nightclub. Mateen was a professional security officer and therefore, had a permit to carry a gun. He also had no criminal record. His career and no criminal record sounds like some normal people, right ? Let's look further. Earlier, Omar was offended by gays showing affection in public. Insomuch, that his father noticed and remembered. We don't know if anything was done by the father to resolve the offense Omar felt. Omar had more choices than what he made. Perhaps he was coerced into this action? Recent information states that Mateen admitted allegiance to ISIS. However, Omar made the decision to destroy innocent people's lives which also affected their families. "Getting over it", by any and all means, was no option. He would still feel discord inside as he lived. But Ol' Omar didn't make it to hurt the innocent again. He was shot by police. That's the first "good" thing that came out of this. Secondly, his death saved the hardworking taxpayers money. Sadly, he leaves behind a father and son.
