Products for real men?

Posted Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 12:52 PM

All sorts of companies market their products to "real men," but they seem to have differing opinions over who fits that description.

Dr. Pepper TEN has the action movie actor seen here.

Not everyone loved this campaign, but it's not nearly as distasteful as the figure a Turkish shampoo company is using.

For whatever reason, they thought it would be acceptable to use Adolph Hitler in an ad campaign. Maybe it's because it does kind of sound like he says the words "shampoo" and "Biomen."

Can you imagine what would happen if someone tried this ad in America?

I was just talking about that Dr. Pepper ad in one of my classes the other day. I've come to the conclusion that bad publicity is most likely better than good publicity because people dwell more on things that upset them. Pretty clever but kind of stupid all in the same token!
